We are thrilled to announce that after a thorough and thoughtful selection process, Deidra Simon has been appointed as the new President & CEO of Girls Inc. of Jacksonville. Deidra is a highly accomplished human resources professional with extensive experience in strategic leadership and organizational development, making her a perfect fit to lead our organization into its next chapter of growth and impact.

Deidra holds a SHRM-CP (Certified Professional) credential and has earned both a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration from Flagler College and a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership from the University of Florida. Her academic background, combined with her professional expertise, provides her with a deep understanding of both the public and nonprofit sectors.

Most recently, Deidra served as the Executive Director of the Gainesville Opportunity Center, where her leadership was instrumental in driving impactful community partnerships and enhancing organizational success. Her focus on team cohesion, strategic collaboration, and excellence helped advance the center’s mission in Gainesville, FL. We are confident that her passion and dedication will bring the same level of success to Girls Inc. of Jacksonville.

Now, Deidra is excited to bring her wealth of experience and passion back to Jacksonville, where she looks forward to empowering girls to be strong, smart, and bold in her new role as President & CEO of Girls Inc. Jacksonville. She is deeply committed to our mission and is eager to lead initiatives that will further strengthen our community and the lives of the girls we serve.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Deidra is a devoted wife to Ronnie Simon, Jr. and a loving mother to their son, RJ. As a family, they are deeply connected to their community, and Deidra actively supports causes that align with her commitment to social impact and service.
